School Supply Drive Starting July 15th @ CODE!

School supply drive. Donate supplies at your local CODE branch.

As the new school year approaches, many families are preparing backpacks, buying supplies, and getting ready for the first day of class. Unfortunately, thousands of students in our community won’t have the basic school supplies they need to succeed.

That’s why CODE Credit Union is proud to partner with Crayons to Classrooms for the 2026 Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive. From July 15 through August 31, 2026, we’re inviting members and the community to help ensure local students start the school year equipped for success.

Why School Supplies Matter

Access to basic classroom supplies plays a vital role in student learning and confidence. Yet nearly 71% of local students begin the school year without essential supplies like notebooks, pencils, folders, and crayons.

When students have the tools they need, teachers can spend less time filling supply gaps and more time focused on education. A simple donation can help create a better learning environment for an entire classroom.

How You Can Help

Supporting Stuff the Bus is easy, and every contribution makes a difference.

You can:

  • – Drop off new school supplies at any CODE Credit Union branch between July 15 and August 31.
  • – Organize a school supply drive at your workplace, church, neighborhood, or community organization.
  • – Make an online donation directly to Crayons to Classrooms if you prefer to give virtually.

Every dollar donated goes a long way—a $1 donation provides $1 worth of school supplies directly to students.

Most Needed School Supplies

Donations of new, unused school supplies are greatly appreciated. Some of the highest-need items include:

  • – Markers (regular and dry erase)
  • – Colored pencils
  • – Pencils
  • – Crayons
  • – 70-count spiral notebooks
  • – Filler paper
  • – Glue sticks
  • – Scissors
  • – Pocket folders
  • – Construction paper

Making a Lasting Impact

Since 2009, Crayons to Classrooms has distributed more than $40 million in free school supplies to under-resourced schools throughout the Miami Valley. Last year alone, the organization supported more than 55,000 students across over 130 schools, helping teachers provide the resources every child deserves.

Even more impressive, 94% of every donation goes directly toward programming, ensuring contributions have the greatest possible impact.
