Why is CODE Credit Union upgrading its system?

We have outgrown our current operating system. This new, superior system will allow CODE Credit Union to provide a multi-channel, enhanced member experience.

Questions about the system upgrade weekend:

When did the upgrade take place?

The system upgrade will took place Friday, October 30, 2020.

Will CODE Credit Union branches be open during the system upgrade?

No. All CODE Credit Union branches will be closed Saturday, October 31, through Monday, November 2, 2020. All CODE Credit Union services will resume for normal business hours on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Can I access Online Banking or Phone Banking during the system upgrade?

Online Banking and Phone Banking will be unavailable from the close of business Friday, October 30, through Monday, November 2, 2020. All CODE Credit Union services will resume for normal business hours on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Can I access my CODE Credit Union account at Shared Branch Outlets during the system upgrade?

CODE Credit Union business cannot be conducted at Shared Branch Outlets from the close of business Friday, October 30, through Monday, November 2, 2020.

Will CODE Credit Union’s Call Center be available during the system upgrade?

CODE Credit Union’s Call Center will be unavailable from the close of business Friday, October 30, through Monday, November 2, 2020. All CODE Credit Union services will resume for normal business hours on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Can I access CODE Credit Union ATMs during the system upgrade?

CODE Credit Union ATMs will be available during the system upgrade. However, the amount you’re able to withdraw may be limited. Please plan accordingly and have enough cash on hand to cover your needs during the system upgrade weekend.

Can I apply for a loan during the system upgrade?

No. CODE Credit Union will not be accepting loan applications from the close of business Friday, October 30, through Monday, November 2, 2020.

When will CODE Credit Union re-open for normal business?

CODE Credit Union Branches, Call Center, Online Banking, Mobile Deposit, Bill Pay and PAT (Personal Audio Teller) will be reactivated for normal business hours Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Will Online Banking be available during the system upgrade?

Online Banking will be unavailable beginning at the close of business Friday, October 30, through Monday, November 2, 2020. All CODE Credit Union services will resume for normal business hours on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Will Mobile Deposit be available during the system upgrade?

Mobile Deposit (a Mobile Banking feature for depositing checks into your CODE Credit Union account from home) will be unavailable beginning at the close of business Friday, October 30, through Monday, November 2, 2020. All CODE Credit Union services will resume for normal business hours on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Will Bill Pay be available during the system upgrade?

No. You will not have access to add, modify, and/or delete Bill Pay payees. You will not have access to view, add, delete or modify any Bill Pay payments beginning 5:30 PM EST on 10/28/20 through Monday, November 2, 2020.

What if I have a Bill Pay payment scheduled during the system upgrade?

Any one-time or recurring bill payments scheduled between Wednesday, October 28 and Monday, November 2, 2020 will still be delivered. You will not be able to view or make any changes to them until Tuesday, November 3, 2020 after the system upgrade is complete.

Questions after the system upgrade:

Will I call the same number for PAT (Personal Audio Teller) after the system upgrade?

Call 937-2224PAT to access CODE’s Personal Audio Teller (PAT). Some of the options will have changed so please listen carefully. You will use the same Account number and PIN # .

Do I need to order a new CODE Credit Union ATM, Visa debit or Visa credit card?

No, Your CODE Credit Union ATM Cards, VISA® Debit Cards, and Credit Cards will continue to function normally. You may experience limited access to funds during the system upgrade weekend so plan accordingly to cover any cash or purchasing needs prior to the weekend. Tip: CODE Visa credit cards will function normally during the system upgrade. So, use your CODE Visa credit card for purchases.

Do I need to order new checks?

No. You can continue to use your current checks after the system upgrade. You will not need to order checks until you deplete your current supply.  After the system upgrade, the MICR line on your checks will include a 13-digit number.

Account Questions

Direct Deposits, Automatic Payments, and Transfers Questions

Will my direct deposit or automatic payments continue to post after the system upgrade?

Direct deposits (including payroll deposits, Social Security, and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits, or other regular deposits) and existing automatic payments to or from any of your CODE Credit Union accounts WILL NOT be affected by the system upgrade and will continue to be processed as usual. You will not need to contact any businesses that withdraw or deposit funds from or into your CODE Credit Union account.

Will my automatic transfers between my CODE Credit Union accounts continue to post after the system upgrade?

Automatic transfers between your respective CODE Credit Union accounts (ex: from your CODE Credit Union Checking account to your CODE Credit Union Savings account) will continue to post as they did prior to the system upgrade.

Online Banking Questions:

Will the system upgrade affect how I login to Online Banking?

There will be a whole new online banking. Go to codecu.org to log in for the first time. You will need to know your member #, the primary account holder’s social security number, the phone number listed on the account and the email address associated with the account. You will be prompted to set up a new password and Two Factor Authentication. You can then download the mobile app and set up biometric identification using thumbprint or face recognition, depending on your device’s capabilities.

Will the system upgrade affect Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

CODE Credit Union’s upgraded MFA no longer will include your previously selected image and text phrase. After the system upgrade, follow the prompts to complete two-factor authentication using either your email address or mobile phone number to verify your identity and complete the enrollment process.

Will I need to reassign my account nicknames after the system upgrade?

You will need to re-establish account nicknames existing prior to the system upgrade by selecting Options, then Customize Account Names.

How will the system upgrade affect my multiple account access through Online Banking?

If you currently have Multiple Account Access to other accounts (shared accounts), these relationships will transfer into the new online banking and show on your dashboard.

How can I access my account history prior to the system upgrade?

History prior to October 30, 2020, will be unavailable within Online Banking. However, you may review your account history on your eStatements.

Will I still be able to export to Money® – Quicken® – QuickBooks®?

You will continue to have the ability to export your CODE Credit Union account information into an excel spreadsheet for use with money management tools such as Money, Quicken or QuickBooks.

For members who currently download transactions from Online Banking into Money, Quicken or QuickBooks, we recommend that, in order to secure pre-upgrade transactional history, you complete a transaction download by 5 PM, Friday, October 30, 2020.

 

Bill Pay Questions

Will I need to re-enter any of my Bill Pay information after the system upgrade?

You will not need to re-enter your Bill Pay information. You must read the “Enroll in Bill Pay” disclosures on your first login. Select Proceed and your current payees, history and scheduled payments will be available.

Will the monthly fee for Bill Pay be affected by the system upgrade?

No. Bill Pay will continue to be FREE for all members with a CODE Credit Union Checking account, Visa debit card, eStatements and direct deposit of payroll after the system upgrade. The fee remains at $4.95 per month without the qualifying services mentioned above.

What will happen with my account to account scheduled transfers?

If you are using Bill Pay to make account to account transfers, you will need to schedule these through the dashboard for online banking instead of using Bill Pay. Go to “Transfers” from the online banking dashboard and enter the information for each account accordingly.

Loan Questions

 Will my automatic loan payment transfers continue to post after the system upgrade?

Automatic loan payments transferred from your CODE Credit Union Savings or Checking account will continue to process normally after the system upgrade. Funds will be debited from the designated account and credited to your loan on the date you have specified. If funds are not available in your specified CODE Credit Union account on the scheduled automatic loan payment transfer date, the system, for up to 15 days, will check your account for adequate funds in order to post the transaction to your CODE Credit Union share secured, Line-of-Credit (LOC), signature or vehicle loan.
